Originally for riding, cowboy boots have hit city streets (see Jewel’s bright kicks) and this summer are making their way onto the red carpet. Follow Carrie Underwood’s lead and saunter in boots paired with a prairie dress, or make it short and sweet like Jessica Simpson. But keep the rest of your Western wear—like large belt buckles and turquoise jewelry—to a minimum or you’ll get the boot!
